Giraffe

The giraffe is the tallest land animal, with legs and necks that help them reach high branches for food. Native to Africa, giraffes feed mainly on leaves from acacia trees. Their height also helps them spot predators from a distance. Each giraffe has a unique pattern of spots, much like human fingerprints. Giraffes are generally peaceful and can live up to 25 years in the wild. They face threats from habitat encroachment and poaching for their hides. Conservation efforts are underway to ensure giraffes continue to thrive in their natural habitats.
